My experience:

Having spent the night in one of the cabins I can say without a question in my mind that this park has it all. I loved riding my skate board from the cabin to the Carillon tower and from the tower to the gift shop to get a drink. After a full day of exploring the park it was amazing to get back to the cabin and relax on the porch until tired then getting up the next morning to a great breakfast. After having breakfast I grabbed my kayak and walked from the cabin to the boat ramp on the river to go on a small trip from the ramp to the spring house.

What you can expect.

My experience:

I have camped here many times. I always use the primitive campsites which never seem to be crowded and often times I get the site completely to myself. The wildlife is amazing, the spring is beautiful, and the campsites are great. If you are looking for an escape from the heat or a chance to see nature it is perfect but be warned if it is the nature you are there for I recommend that you get a campsite and wait until the day visitors leave, this is when nature starts to take over and people are heading home. When all the people have left I love to walk the board walk. I have seen alligators in the Suwannee, opossums in trees, and fawns(baby dear) wading through the swamp with their mother. If it is not the wildlife you are there for then your best time will be during the heat of the day. Take a leap off of the dock into a clear 72 degrees fearinheight spring. I guarantee you will emerge refreshed. Or put a few dollars into the jukebox to listen to your favorite song while hitting the volley ball back and forth.

What you can expect.
